Three ∆ngles, Two DJs, & One Dream

Success doesn’t come easy these days.

Everyone is so competitive, and only so many people can be “the best.”

Delta House, however, possesses a unique inspiration to produce creative mixes and the dedication to work endlessly towards their dreams.

Not only does this DJ/producer duo have the potential to become “the best” in the world of EDM, they have the ability to inspire so many listeners with the positivity that surges throughout their music.

Watch Delta House’s video interview to get a sense of what it’s like to have a strong sense of purpose, an undying will, and a true love for music.

New ‘Upcoming Events’ Tab!

I thought I’d be a little more personal this week by connecting with you via video rather than text.

With that said, take a moment to watch my live broadcast below, hosted by Google Hangouts, promoting my new ‘upcoming events’ tab located at the top of my blog!

Feel free to comment with any events you think are worth attending that I didn’t mention.

XOXO,

Rachel

What Does EDM Mean to You?

It’s music… and so much more.

The positive vibes within EDM seem to spread throughout several aspects of both listeners’ and producers’ lives.

EDM’s role around the world is growing at what seems like an infinite rate.  As it widens, more and more people are adopting their own relationship with the genre.

Listen to my interview with three local San Luis Obispo EDM DJ/producers as they answer the question: what does EDM mean to you?

Check out Karl Grand’s SoundCloud and Delta House’s SoundCloud to hear the tracks behind my interview and more.

Timbre: A Free Music & Concert Discovery App

If you haven’t already downloaded the app Timbre, you need to.

Although it sounds a lot like a promiscuous dating app (Tinder) and Kesha’s newest hit (Timber), Timbre is a free concert discovery app available for Apple products and Androids.

This app makes it quick and easy to find live music events around you and even buy tickets instantaneously.

FINGER LICKIN’ FESTIVAL REVIEW

San Francisco, Calif. was raging hardcore this weekend at Finger Lickin’.

I traveled from SLO to review this event! Photo by Rachel Gasparini.

Some of the best EDM headliners filled Fort Mason with music that radiated throughout the city.  Artists included:

Laidback Luke, Adventure Club, DJ Snake, TJR, Green Lantern, and Whitenoize.

LED, Golden Voice, and Collective Efforts Events put on this 18+ festival from start to finish.

Although the lineup was on point, the festival did have weak areas, such as the timing, security, and organization of the event.
